Today in class we were talking about capacity. We had a really cool activity to do with capacity. Firstly we had to estimate how many cups of sand it would take to fill an ice cream container, our lunch box, the maths box and the library book container. After we had written down our estimates we went into the Jolly Roger Sandpit and measured them out. We found out that it took alot more cups of sand to fill the items than we had thought. Here are some pictures of our measuring.
